Model UX Designer

About the Role

As an Interaction Designer, you will transform complex tasks into simple, appealing user experiences impacting billions globally. You will work with multidisciplinary teams including Engineering and Product Management to craft user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that embody innovation and beauty in line with Google's design language.

You will contribute specifically to Google's Ads Privacy and Safety UX team, which safeguards users from inappropriate advertising while ensuring advertisers can effectively navigate policy complexities. Your role is central to pioneering AI-driven initiatives, integrating AI tools and prompt engineering to enhance creativity and accelerate prototyping of cutting-edge user interactions such as chat interfaces and autonomous agent handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Transform advanced technologies like foundational AI models and agentic workflows into intuitive interface designs and user experiences targeting Google developers.
• Create high-quality user flows, interaction patterns, wireframes, and pixel-perfect mockups that comply with and push forward Google’s design system standards.
• Develop interactive prototypes to rapidly test, refine, and demonstrate innovative AI-driven interactions, prioritizing design iterations effectively.
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Research Scientists to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product goals.
• Produce design outputs that meet high standards of quality and coherence with Google's brand and UX patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum four years of interaction design experience focused on product or UX design.
• Portfolio or online showcase of related work must be included with application.
• Preferred: experience employing AI tools for prototyping and feature development.
• Preferred: familiarity with Google Ads or similar advertising platforms.
• Preferred: experience coordinating with Security, Privacy, Safety, and Legal teams.
• Strong collaboration skills for influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proficiency in gathering and synthesizing large data sets and complex workflows into clear information architecture and actionable insights.
• Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple projects and programs.

Compensation and Benefits

Recruitment is based on skills, experience, and education. Position offers a USD salary range of 132000 to 190000 per year, plus 15% target bonus, equity options, and comprehensive benefits.
