Role Overview
The Mixologist position is a full-time, on-site role responsible for preparing both classic and unique cocktails as well as non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include setting up and closing the bar, maintaining inventory, upholding cleanliness, and adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols. The Mixologist will engage with guests directly by taking and serving orders, offering recommendations, and delivering a friendly, professional bar experience.
Responsibilities
- Crafting traditional and signature cocktails along with non-alcoholic beverages.
- Preparing bar setup and closing procedures daily.
- Maintaining inventory and cleanliness standards at the bar.
- Complying with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Interacting courteously with guests, taking orders, and providing drink suggestions.
- Collaborating with culinary and service teams to enhance the beverage menu.
- Assisting in training junior bar staff on beverage preparation and service standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent customer service focus with a strong hospitality orientation.
- Effective verbal communication to engage guests and work with team members professionally.
- Experience in food and beverage operations, including bar setup, service, and inventory management.
- Skills in drink preparation, flavor combinations, garnishing, and knowledge of ingredients.
- Ability to train peers in beverage preparation, hygiene, and service protocols.
- Previous bartender or mixologist experience within hotels, resorts, or upscale bars is advantageous.
- Familiarity with classic cocktails, mocktails, and awareness of beverage trends; enthusiasm for new recipe creation.
- Understanding of alcohol service laws, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
