About the Role
Join GMC Utilities Group as a Metering Coordinator based in Tuam, County Galway. This role involves overseeing the daily activities of the Meter Reading team by efficiently planning, scheduling, and monitoring work to meet client and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Metering Manager in organizing and executing daily metering tasks.
- Allocate work assignments to Meter Readers to optimize resources.
- Communicate daily with Meter Readers to track progress, address scheduling conflicts, and provide operational assistance.
- Keep accurate schedules and update internal records reflecting completed and pending tasks.
- Monitor workload volumes and support forecasting of resource needs.
- Generate and distribute operational and management reports highlighting trends and areas needing attention.
- Evaluate team performance against client KPIs and operational goals.
- Handle customer appointments and respond promptly and professionally to operational questions and escalations.
- Ensure all work details are correctly recorded in company systems.
- Support work completion processing, payment handling, and related administrative duties as required.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in line with company policies.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Metering Manager and the broader operations team.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support business operations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in roles involving coordination, scheduling, or administrative support.
- Experience in utilities, construction, or related operational fields is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to foster positive relationships with field staff and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with workforce scheduling tools like Maximo, Click, or Syclo is advantageous.
- Attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills.
- Capable of working autonomously while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a professional attitude.
