Merchandiser - Garment/Apparel

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Merchandiser with three to five years of experience in the garment or apparel sector. The successful applicant will have prior exposure working within a Buying House or Export House and a solid grasp of the entire merchandising process including sample development, order tracking, and coordinating shipments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the full merchandising cycle for garment and apparel orders from initiation to delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with buyers, vendors, factories, and internal departments to ensure seamless order processing.
• Oversee sample creation, secure necessary approvals, and guarantee timely delivery of samples to clients.
• Monitor production progress and ensure all orders meet stipulated delivery schedules.
• Coordinate activities among production, quality assurance, sourcing, and logistics teams.
• Track order lifecycles and proactively address any production or shipping challenges.
• Ensure that all products comply with buyer specifications, quality benchmarks, and agreed timelines.
• Maintain accurate merchandising reports, order tracking documents, and related records.
• Support vendor communications and contribute to product development processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile, Apparel, or a closely related field.
• Three to five years of compulsory experience in garment/apparel merchandising roles.
• Prior work experience within a Buying House or Export House is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge in sample development, order processing, production coordination, fabric and trim management, and merchandising documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate across teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to prepare detailed merchandising reports.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Additional Information

• Location: South Delhi, Delhi, India - candidates must be willing to work onsite in Delhi.
• Salary: Up to 600000 INR per annum based on experience and qualifications.
