Medical Courier

Job Overview

Join Quest Diagnostics as a Medical Courier in Saint Rose, LA, working Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with occasional rotational weekend shifts once or twice a month. In this role, you will be essential in transporting critical medical specimens and lab materials, helping healthcare move forward by ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and deliver medical specimens and laboratory materials according to scheduled routes.
• Maintain professional communication with healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, and lab personnel to coordinate timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company vehicle provided for the role (non-CDL required).
• Utilize handheld scanners, route optimization software, and mobile applications to track shipments efficiently.
• Ensure specimens are handled, labeled, stored, and documented properly to maintain integrity.
• Adhere strictly to relevant safety standards, including DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license with at least three years of driving experience.
• Maintain a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violations in the last 36 months, with none in the past 12 months.
• Exhibit strong customer service abilities and effective communication skills.
• Pay close attention to detail and reliably document all processes.
• Demonstrate capability to work autonomously and solve problems while on the road.
• Comfort with using mobile technology and scanning devices.
• Physical ability to lift items up to 30 pounds and remain active during shifts.
• Preferred experience includes background in medical courier roles, customer service, logistics, or related fields.

• Competitive starting wage at $17.50/hour, with eligibility for shift differential pay (10% for second shift, 15% for third shift).
