Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team. This position supports various marketing efforts including content operations, website management, research, email marketing, public relations, and daily marketing workflow activities. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to implement diverse projects, gaining valuable experience within a fast-paced startup setting focused on ethical AI and digital rights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on trends and news related to AI, technology, media, entertainment, and digital rights.
• Assist with upkeep of the website, blog publishing, and managing content assets.
• Organize and maintain marketing and PR resources such as blogs, images, transcripts, and trackers.
• Monitor and summarize media coverage, competitor activities, and important industry developments.
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and corporate communications efforts.
• Create basic visual materials utilizing tools like Canva or Figma.
• Help prepare marketing collateral for product launches, events, and campaigns.
• Maintain project tracking documents, internal resources, and marketing documentation.
• Perform quality checks and reviews of marketing deliverables before release.
• Support ongoing marketing and communication workflows within the department.

Required Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication abilities.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related disciplines.
• Comfort with managing documentation, trackers, and shared folders.
• Proactive, inquisitive mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt.

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience or familiarity with Google Workspace, Notion, Canva, Figma, or project management software.
• Background via coursework, internships, student organizations, or personal projects in marketing or communications.
