Role Overview

The Manager, Risk & Controls (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) based in Dublin will focus on strengthening and unifying the risk and control environment. The role involves conducting a gap analysis of the current risk control mechanisms and aiding in deploying an improved Group-wide model. You will spearhead the development and integration of a risk and control framework aligned with regulatory guidelines and the parent company's RCSA design to promote consistent operation and effective oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough gap analysis of the existing risk control systems with the goal of implementing a comprehensive enhanced Group model.
• Lead efforts to develop, harmonize, and embed a risk and control framework that complies with regulatory requirements as well as the parent RCSA design.
• Improve the reporting structures to facilitate monitoring, governance, and escalation of risks.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to integrate controls into business processes such as customer care, merchant onboarding, and system readiness.
• Support training initiatives, documentation creation, and ensure consistent application of the risk control framework across all business units.
• Escalate important issues promptly to the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership as necessary.
• Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills

• Expertise in operational risk management and control frameworks within payments or financial services industries.
• Proficiency in risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), control design, process mapping, and governance, risk, and compliance systems.
• Knowledge of EU regulatory requirements including safeguarding, anti-money laundering (AML), outsourcing, and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
• Capability to manage complex, multi-stream projects with numerous interdependencies in a hands-on manner.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in implementing Group-wide risk and control frameworks or aligning local risk practices with enterprise-wide standards.
• Background in developing risk monitoring reports, dashboards, or management information systems for effective risk escalation.
