About the Role
Join IMDA and become a key player in building Singapore's digital future through the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative. As part of the Human Capital Cluster's Jobs and Skills Division, you will collaborate closely with industry stakeholders to develop and implement innovative Infocomm & Technology training programmes. This role is critical in addressing sector challenges and enabling Singapore's tech talent to flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with technology employers, Institutes of Higher Learning, trade associations, and professional organizations.
- Work alongside IMDA divisions and government bodies to launch workforce development initiatives.
- Create effective job opportunities and training pathways within the digital sector for Singaporean workers.
- Address manpower challenges in the industry by building strategic collaborations and solutions.
- Contribute to the transformation of the ICT sector through coordinated programmes.
- Design, oversee, and implement targeted workforce development projects with partners.
- Ensure partner adherence to policies and processes.
- Monitor and assess programme performance, providing data-backed recommendations for improvements.
- Track ICT and Continuing Education and Training landscape changes relevant to workforce initiatives.
- Analyze industry trends and hiring patterns to inform programme development.
- Map the progression of Singapore's jobs and skills ecosystem to guide strategic decisions.
- Maintain operational excellence by independently assessing project proposals, balancing business and national priorities.
- Manage budgeting, funding utilisation, and reporting of key outcomes and KPIs for assigned programmes.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as industry engagement, manpower development, or programme management.
- Academic background in Business, IT, Technology, Engineering disciplines, or equivalent fields.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills complemented by critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exhibit excellent communication, both written and verbal; business development experience is a plus.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
- Experience in civil or public service sectors is advantageous.
