Role Overview
This M&A Analyst position supports investment screening, deal execution, due diligence, financial analysis, and post-acquisition integration work. The role also involves working with internal stakeholders and external advisors, along with helping improve internal workflows through AI-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather market intelligence and sector data, and keep track of shifts in the market and in target companies.
- Maintain the target database and update the status of active opportunities.
- Carry out first-stage evaluation of potential investments and monitor the firm’s deal pipeline.
- Support negotiations for new investments and conduct field-level research on target businesses for senior team members.
- Manage due diligence and coordinate communication with targets, internal functions, and external advisors such as technical, financial, tax, legal, and investment banking consultants.
- Build detailed financial models, including sensitivity analysis, to evaluate possible investment opportunities.
- Prepare financial assessments for project investments and review related project documents.
- Help draft and present investment recommendations to the Executive Committee.
- Support integration efforts for newly acquired businesses.
- Contribute to workflow improvement initiatives using AI-based tools and solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a closely related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in video games or adjacent sectors in corporate development, private equity, or investment banking is preferred, though not mandatory; this may include internship or full-time experience.
- Strong command of spoken and written English is essential.
- Solid analytical, numerical, and technical capability.
- Experience with deal origination, deal structuring, presentation creation, client meetings, documentation, negotiations, and due diligence.
- High energy, initiative, creativity, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Demonstrated integrity, leadership potential, and personal ownership.
- Good multitasking, time management, and communication skills.
- Progress toward or completion of CFA qualification is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to financial data tools such as CapIQ is preferred.
- Experience using AI solutions in a work setting is preferred.
