Logistics Specialist Rail Operations (m/f/div.)

Role Overview

Join our team as a Logistics Specialist in Rail Operations, where you'll be vital in handling steel coil transport and warehousing tasks at our Siershahn location. This position requires hands-on experience with steel products and technical aptitude, supporting the efficient flow of materials within our facility.

Core Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading railway wagons and trucks using a gantry crane.
• Executing load securing and inspecting incoming goods for quality and accuracy.
• Unpacking and properly storing steel coils in the warehouse.
• Preparing and loading slit band coils for internal transport.
• Assisting the team leader with maintenance and repair operations.
• Using forklifts to unload empty pallets and load plate pallets.
• Handling disposal of packaging waste from coils.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience working with steel coils and steel products.
• Background in industrial or technical trades is advantageous.
• Possession of crane and forklift operating licenses is a plus.
• Technical understanding with a willingness to gain any necessary additional qualifications.
• Flexibility to work in two shifts, outdoor conditions, and on Saturdays.
• Enjoys working independently, taking responsibility seriously.
• Strong sense of accountability, reliability, and assertiveness.
