Loading Dock Labourer (Night Shift)

Role Overview

NH Foods Australia is looking for dedicated and diligent Labourers to join our Load Out Department at Oakey, Queensland. This position involves preparing, managing, and loading cartons, pallets, and containers within a dynamic cold storage setting. Working collaboratively within a team, staff ensure both domestic and export orders are precisely prepared to comply with strict safety, quality, and export regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Stack, wrap, secure, and load cartons weighing over 25kg onto pallets and into containers or trucks.
• Scan cartons and pallets to guarantee accuracy, traceability, and shipment verification.
• Perform temperature checks on goods following rigorous food safety guidelines.
• Accurately complete transport and export documentation.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Schedule & Conditions

The work roster is as follows:

• Monday: 12:01 AM to 8:16 AM
• Tuesday to Thursday: 8:00 PM to 4:16 AM

Note that each day may require one hour of mandatory overtime, and employees are expected to work five mandatory Saturdays annually.

Candidate Requirements

• Ability to work night shifts from Sunday through Thursday.
• Physically fit, capable of repetitive manual handling of items weighing 25kg or more.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Comfortable working within cold storage/freezer environments.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a dedicated work ethic.
• Adherence to safety, hygiene, and workplace protocol is mandatory.

Possessing a forklift license and relevant Australian forklift operating experience is highly preferred.
