Lifeguard

Position Overview

We are seeking a vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety of all swimmers by utilizing appropriate rescue techniques when needed. The role involves continuous monitoring of swimming areas to identify hazardous conditions, unsafe behaviors, and swimmers in distress. Lifeguards will enforce facility rules and regulations, assist injured individuals until emergency medical personnel arrive, and contribute to a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for all guests.

Key Duties

• Surveil swimming zones for safety risks and intervene using rescue procedures when necessary.
• Encourage adherence to pool rules and guidelines amongst patrons.
• Notify supervisors about potential safety concerns and situations preventing safe participation.
• Provide first aid and support until medical services arrive in case of accidents or injuries.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing, mopping, and tidying the pool deck and managing towels following company standards.
• Report incidents and unsafe conditions promptly to management.
• Comply with safety training and certification requirements.
• Uphold professional appearance and greet guests courteously, ensuring accessibility for guests with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests and team members alike.
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier with assistance, across various terrains including slippery and uneven surfaces.
• Complete other related tasks as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Any additional certifications mandated by local or state authorities.
• No prior work or supervisory experience necessary.
