Legal Support Specialist

About the Role

Lease & LaBau, Inc., a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Support Specialist to join their Litigation team in their New York City office. This position involves providing comprehensive administrative and clerical aid to Litigation attorneys, ensuring smooth case management and court-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform e-filing submissions with state and federal courts and compose correspondence addressed to clients.
• Support document management by producing, formatting, and meticulously proofreading legal pleadings.
• Manage attorney-related administrative tasks such as entering, reviewing, and updating timesheets, maintaining attorney calendars, and preparing client billing invoices promptly.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys and create detailed itinerary reports.
• Assist with trial preparations by organizing and compiling binders for cases.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ litigation experience, preferably gained at a substantial law firm.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent attention to detail paired with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Proven ability to handle multiple ongoing projects efficiently while adapting to evolving workloads and responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
