About the Role

The Learning Experience Designer (LED) is responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing safety-focused learning and performance improvement solutions that driving safer work practices and enhancing proficiency for both domestic and international teams. This role centers on advancing the organization's current and future safety objectives through innovative instructional design tailored to operations team members, safety professionals, supervisors, and facility managers. Collaboration with diverse business units is essential to design and deliver supplementary training solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to rapidly identify and address training requirements.
  • Reviewing and enhancing existing training to boost learning effectiveness through redesign efforts.
  • Developing and refining internal processes and templates to streamline future content creation.
  • Leading storyboard and script development and transforming them into appropriate interactive formats including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT (vILT), eLearning, gamified learning, and virtual reality (VR) modules; also managing content improvements within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Aligning creative and innovative training strategies to the company’s global strategic goals.
  • Performing additional duties and responsibilities when assigned.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in training development, curriculum design, or instructional design.
  • Master's degree in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or related discipline preferred.

Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in instructional design and adult learning theory application.
  • Background in global organizational instructional design strongly beneficial.
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning theories and multiple instructional design frameworks.
  • Proven skills in designing diverse content formats including video, graphic design, gamification, and delivering both ILT and vILT via tools like Articulate 360.
  • Expertise in navigating and utilizing various Learning Management Systems.
  • Use of data and analytics to support business objectives and enhance performance.
  • Track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale learning initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Certification as a Professional in Learning and Performance is an advantage.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to hear normal conversation levels with or without hearing correction.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed tasks, analyze data, and read extensively.
  • Capability to sit and stand for extended durations.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity for typing and document handling.
  • Ability to move about on foot to complete tasks.
  • Work primarily in an indoor office setting.

Additional Details

  • Contract term of 6 months with potential for extension.
  • Work schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
