About Think Together
Established in 1997, Think Together is a significant nonprofit organization in California dedicated to improving children's outcomes by offering comprehensive programs during and beyond school hours. Operating across districts from San Diego to San Francisco, Think Together provides opportunities for community involvement in early learning, elementary, middle, and high school settings, either at local schools or through support roles at its headquarters.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Talent Development and Learning leadership within the OD/L&D Department, the Learning and Development Facilitator plays a key role in designing, leading, and implementing both online and face-to-face training programs for staff. This position adopts a collaborative approach to deliver learning experiences and works with the TD&L team to tailor content and facilitation techniques to suit various audiences. Close collaboration with both staff and managers ensures ongoing organizational support.
This role requires hybrid work attendance, with 2-3 days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead professional development sessions, including material delivery, event logistics, presenter support, attendance management, and integration of adult learning best practices.
- Conduct diverse learning experiences for staff both virtually and onsite.
- Support multiple training delivery platforms such as in-person sessions, virtual environments, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Oversee staff development and career advancement programs.
- Develop training tools and materials by researching, designing, proofreading, editing, and formatting content.
- Ensure all staff training aligns with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with Talent Development & Learning Manager and other departments to address training schedules and requirements.
- Manage LMS activities including event creation, registrations, assessments, and reporting.
- Travel to regional centers to conduct training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
- Combination of relevant education and professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in training delivery and facilitation.
- Preferably 3 years supporting adult learners.
- Experience in expanded learning programs is desirable.
- Requirement to maintain a valid tuberculosis test throughout employment.
Additional Responsibilities and Skills
- Proficient with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or similar.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suited for diverse audiences including students and staff.
- Ability to move beyond traditional presentations to scaffold learning for groups of various sizes and backgrounds.
- Capability to enhance individual and organizational capacity to improve service delivery.
- Commitment to fostering a growth mindset and continuous organizational improvement.
- Experience creating psychologically safe environments that encourage collaboration among diverse teams.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational settings.
- Adaptability in learning new content and technologies including webinars, asynchronous learning, and software tools.
- Flexibility in changing environments and ambiguity.
- Detail-oriented problem solver with strong organizational skills.
- Preferred expertise in learning theories, models, and process facilitation.
Computer Proficiency
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong abilities in Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional competence in data organization and presentation creation with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Compensation
Targeted salary for the position varies by location and candidate qualifications:
- Bay Area: $75,000 to $80,000 per year
- Non-Bay Area: $70,305 to $72,000 per year
Actual pay will be influenced by factors such as location, skills, and experience.
