Laundry Attendant

Job Overview

Hotel Arts is looking for a Laundry Attendant to join the Housekeeping Department on a casual basis. This role involves managing all guest room and banquet linen cleaning to maintain the required inventory levels daily. The attendant will be responsible for assessing the quality of linens and removing any items that do not meet the standards to keep only linens in excellent condition in circulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete cleaning of all guest room and banquet linens to ensure availability meets daily operational needs.
• Perform regular quality checks and ensure only linens in good condition are used.
• Maintain an organized and clean laundry room environment continuously.
• Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues promptly to the appropriate department.

Role Requirements

• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is required; prior hotel or resort experience is a plus.
• Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license; skills to operate a 2-ton truck for laundry deliveries are advantageous.
• Ability to operate different types of cleaning equipment.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform some heavy lifting duties.
• Flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This position offers a flexible schedule, requiring availability during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role starts at an hourly wage of $18.50 per hour.
