Kitchen Helper

Overview

This position entails performing various kitchen support functions at Rivers Cafe, located in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Candidates will receive on-the-job training and do not require prior certification or degrees. Proficiency in English is needed as communication is essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and arrange tables appropriately.
• Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and seating areas following customer use.
• Restock condiments and necessary supplies at tables and in serving zones.
• Package take-out orders carefully and efficiently.
• Prepare, heat, or complete simple food items according to directions.
• Maintain stock levels by replenishing refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customer orders attentively and accurately.
• Utilize both manual and electric kitchen appliances for cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming food items.
• Receive deliveries, unpack items, and store supplies properly in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and trash responsibly.
• Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing surfaces.
• Wash, peel, and cut various vegetables and fruits.
