Role Overview

The Junior Planner will assist the Wholesale division under the guidance of the Senior Planning Manager. This role focuses on planning, allocation, and inventory management to boost sales performance and inventory turnover. The planner will engage in analytical and strategic planning to enhance inventory levels, improve replenishment timing, and continuously refine the planning processes.

Key Duties

  • Support planning, replenishment, and inventory oversight to meet sales and sell-through targets.
  • Prepare and manage reports on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Analyze pre-season, in-season, and post-season data to evaluate successes and discover improvement areas.
  • Participate in regular meetings to assess potential risks and opportunities within the business.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for product handling in and out of distribution centers.
  • Conduct product performance analysis to enhance inventory effectiveness across retail and wholesale channels.
  • Monitor shipment flow in collaboration with logistics to prioritize and ensure timely delivery.
  • Make data-driven decisions on assortments by maximizing owned inventory and monitoring stock movement.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Store Managers to discuss inventory status, market trends, and business growth prospects.
  • Coordinate monthly store transfers for slow-moving items to improve sell-through rates and optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the Buying team on assortments for new store launches and maintain replenishment activities for existing outlets to achieve sales objectives.
  • Initiate ideas and improvements that could drive business results or increase efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in retail planning involving merchandising, forecasting, and allocation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Macros is preferable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Effective communicator with a confident and engaging interpersonal style.
  • Experience with SAP, Business Intelligence reporting tools, and retail replenishment systems is an advantage.
