Junior Investment Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research on financial, industry, market, and competitive landscapes to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Analyze company financial statements, operational outcomes, valuation metrics, and broader market trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models, valuation studies, forecasting, and investment scenarios.
• Support due diligence processes on potential investments and strategic projects.
• Create investment summaries, detailed research reports, presentations, and materials for senior management.
• Monitor ongoing investments, tracking financial, operational, and market indicators.
• Evaluate economic trends, market developments, and sector-specific factors affecting investment choices.
• Gather and interpret financial and market data from diverse sources.
• Assist with portfolio analysis, performance assessments, and ongoing investment oversight.
• Work closely with senior investment professionals and interdisciplinary teams on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and organized storage of investment research and analyses.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 0 to 3 years’ experience in investment or financial analysis, investment banking, asset management, private equity, corporate finance, or similar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, valuation methods, and core financial principles.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with experience preparing financial models.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective research capabilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accurate work outputs.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a remote, fast-moving environment.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently while maintaining teamwork across a distributed setup.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in financial modeling, valuation analysis, or investment research.
• Familiarity with investment databases, financial research platforms, or tools for data visualization.
• Understanding of public and private market investment environments.
• Progress toward CFA certification or other relevant financial qualifications is a plus.
• Experience with analytical programming languages or tools such as Python, SQL, or Power BI is beneficial but not mandatory.
