About MILE
MILE is a members-only luxury shopping platform that reshapes fashion commerce by offering a curated, seasonless selection of coveted products from the world's leading fashion brands, all at unbeatable prices. Combining technology and fashion, MILE strives to deliver an effortless and refined experience for consumers and brands alike, aiming to become the top digital destination for luxury with exclusivity, value, and outstanding design.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer who is swift, detail-focused, and passionate about craftsmanship, with an emphasis on creating assets and image retouching. The quality of MILE's imagery must meet the standards of global luxury fashion brands, with every product photo retouched, banner cropped perfectly, and social media asset meticulously polished to enhance the luxury feel.
You will contribute across MILE and other projects within the Hulcan portfolio, producing visual content and retouched images that support campaigns, social media, and on-site engagement. Attention to detail is crucial, especially the ability to spot and correct minor imperfections like a 1px misalignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create design materials for social media, emails, websites, and partner channels, rapidly adjusting to different formats and aspect ratios.
- Perform high-quality retouching on product and editorial photos, including cleanup, color adjustment, and compositing.
- Learn and utilize Figma to develop and maintain templated asset systems, enabling scalable production without quality loss.
- Assist in developing brand and marketing launches by delivering consistent, on-brand creative content across multiple portfolio brands.
- Collaborate with the design team to handle incoming briefs, prioritize tasks, and ensure consistency across channels.
- Coordinate with merchandising and design teams to harmonize imagery and assets displayed on the website.
- Prepare and refine presentation decks for brands, partners, and internal purposes, keeping them visually appealing and on-brand.
- Incorporate feedback from brand, marketing, and partner teams promptly, maintaining accuracy and quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 1 to 2 years of graphic design experience, or a strong portfolio reflecting professional production work and conceptual projects from study, freelance, or internships.
- Proficient in Photoshop with proven retouching skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new software and workflows, particularly Figma, with flexibility towards new work approaches.
- Solid understanding of social media requirements and formats, including Instagram (feed, stories, reels) and TikTok, across various aspect ratios.
- Strong foundation in typography, layout design, and composition.
- Efficient and accurate multitasker capable of managing several briefs simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset to interpret briefs correctly and ask clarifying questions.
Additional Desired Skills
- Confidence with Figma's advanced features such as components, variants, and templated systems.
- Basic knowledge of motion design or video editing tools like After Effects and Premiere.
- Experience in photography or studio production.
- Familiarity with email design.
- Keen interest in fashion, luxury products, or e-commerce industries.
Benefits and Work Arrangement
- Play an important role in influencing the company’s development.
- Experience a collaborative and innovative workplace culture.
- Access to career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company.
- Position based at MILE’s Doncaster office with an expectation to be onsite three days per week; during busy periods or product launches, presence up to five days a week may be required as directed by management.
- Annual salary of £25,000.
