Junior Data Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous Junior Data Analyst to assist with data gathering, cleaning, analysis, and reporting to support well-informed business choices. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure accurate data interpretation, trend identification, and actionable insight generation. The successful candidate will maintain data precision through validation, prepare reports and dashboards, and aid in performance analysis.

Key Duties

• Gather, clean, verify, and analyze data drawn from diverse sources.
• Create and sustain reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations to aid decision-making.
• Track crucial performance indicators while detecting trends, patterns, and irregularities.
• Validate data ensuring its accuracy and consistency.
• Offer data-focused insights and analysis to support business teams.
• Prepare both scheduled and on-demand reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Engage with cross-functional departments to clarify reporting needs and objectives.
• Conduct elementary statistical analyses and explain results.
• Assist in data migration, enhance data quality, and streamline processes.
• Document definitions related to data, reporting workflows, and analysis methodologies.
• Help automate reporting functions and optimize data handling procedures.
• Identify and rectify discrepancies or problems within reporting data.
• Keep updated with latest data analytics software, techniques, and best practices.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel including its data analysis and reporting features.
• Basic experience with SQL for querying databases and managing data.
• Working knowledge of data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Familiarity with fundamental statistical and data analysis concepts.
• Bonus points for experience with Python or R programming for data tasks.
• Understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.
