Job Description

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday, morning shift
• Compensation of $9 per hour with weekly payments

The janitor is responsible for comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or multiple client locations. Duties may vary according to client specifications, requiring flexibility in task execution.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Adhere to proper procedures when using chemical cleaners and powered equipment to avoid damage
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entryways
• Properly empty trash cans and use compactors as needed
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors utilizing suitable products and tools
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow a structured housekeeping schedule
• Use heavy-duty cleaning machinery, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers, occasionally
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on client or work requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience
• On-the-job training provided
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is advantageous
• Knowledge of custodial techniques and commercial cleaning standards
• Familiarity with floor care procedures like buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
