Position Overview

The Janitor role involves comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated indoor areas across one or multiple client properties. Responsibilities vary based on client requirements, requiring flexibility in task execution. Positions available include both full-time and part-time, primarily during evening hours, with weekly pay at $14 per hour.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors using techniques such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and powered equipment responsibly to avoid damage to surfaces and objects.
• Clean and replenish restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entrances.
• Manage trash disposal, including use of compactors when applicable.
• Wash windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable cleaning agents and equipment.
• Perform spot cleaning of carpets and assist with deep carpet cleaning methods like extraction and shampooing.
• Restock paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
• Adhere to scheduled housekeeping routines.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as necessary.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned depending on client needs and job scope.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Capable of following instructions accurately and efficiently.
• On-the-job training will be provided to support skill development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Understanding of custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor care including buffing and waxing techniques.
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous.
