About Techo-Bloc
Techo-Bloc specializes in creating premium hardscaping products like concrete pavers, retaining walls, and architectural masonry used across residential backyards and commercial plazas. The company operates 9 manufacturing plants and over 13 distribution centers with a workforce exceeding 900 employees across Canada and the United States.
Role Overview
As the IT Manager, you will lead a team of IT technicians supporting multiple locations, ensuring seamless technology operations vital to the company’s functions. You will be the bridge between the IT Director's strategic vision and the technicians delivering day-to-day IT services, responsible for service delivery, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage IT technicians across Canada and the US including recruiting, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
- Oversee the entire IT support operation, including helpdesk management, field support, timely ticket resolution, and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
- Drive IT projects such as site upgrades and system rollouts from planning through execution.
- Identify recurring IT issues, implement preventive solutions, and maintain documentation to standardize processes.
- Evaluate new technologies including AI tools to enhance team effectiveness and operational impact.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience managing IT in a multi-site environment, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Intune.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, is highly advantageous.
- Experience with helpdesk or IT service management platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Freshdesk.
- Fluency in both French and English is essential due to the bilingual nature of the company’s locations.
- ITIL certification or equivalent service management training is a plus but not mandatory.
