Role Overview
The Investment Analyst will be a vital part of the headquarters-based investment team, with responsibilities spanning transaction coordination, deal structuring, financial and business due diligence, and market research. This role supports the growth of the investment portfolio by managing both greenfield project development and acquisition initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in generating and screening a pipeline of renewable energy investments.
- Keep abreast of developments in core markets including India, Southeast Asia, and Japan’s onshore renewables sector.
- Support efforts to expand Blueleaf Energy’s presence in East Asia and Southeast Asia.
- Perform due diligence, develop financial models, and conduct risk evaluations.
- Contribute to commercial, legal, and financial deal structuring.
- Prepare approval documents with detailed analysis to aid decision-making by senior leaders.
- Develop information memoranda and respond to inquiries from debt and equity investors.
- Present deal statuses and pipeline details to the leadership team and board.
- Manage reporting to track internal progress and keep leadership updated on project milestones.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related commercial/technical field; professional qualifications like CA or BA-Finance are preferred.
- Minimum three years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure fund management focused on infrastructure, utilities, or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial analysis, valuation, and forecasting.
- Ability to craft compelling documents and presentations to support financial assessments.
- Proficient with MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Teams.
- Self-driven, attentive to detail, and ambitious.
- Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities for stakeholder engagement.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, capable of effective communication with internal and external parties.
