Investigative Journalist

Position Overview

This role is for a contract-based Investigative Journalist working remotely, dedicating between 10 to 40 hours per week. The position involves producing original, detailed news stories and features by researching and verifying information from reliable sources.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and pitch original news articles, in-depth features, and stories.
• Conduct interviews and collect first-hand information to ensure accuracy.
• Create well-written, engaging, and precise content aimed at a variety of audiences.
• Edit and proofread all articles for clarity, coherence, and editorial consistency.
• Work collaboratively with editors, designers, and fellow journalists to improve content quality.
• Keep up to date with current affairs, trends, and relevant topics within assigned areas.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
