Inventory Controller

Overview

The Inventory Controller plays a key role within the Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Operations departments by overseeing accurate inventory records and ensuring optimal stock levels. This position involves monitoring daily inventory activities and collaborating closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to facilitate uninterrupted business flow.

Core Duties

• Track daily inventory movements including receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
• Maintain precise stock data using ERP or WMS software.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle checks, and audits.
• Identify and address any discrepancies in inventory records.
• Balance stock availability against excess and outdated inventory.
• Work with procurement to ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Generate detailed reports such as inventory status, stock aging, and reconciliation statements.
• Monitor key inventory performance indicators like accuracy, turnover, and stock outages.
• Ensure appropriate storage, labeling, and handling of goods.
• Adhere to company policies regarding inventory and warehouse management.
• Participate in supporting internal and external audit processes.
• Coordinate with relevant teams including logistics, finance, and sales to maintain seamless operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or a similar field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management; relevant internship experience considered for fresh graduates.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including use of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
• Competence in inventory control techniques including FIFO, LIFO, and FEFO.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operational processes.

Remuneration and Work Location

The position offers a salary range between 35000 and 40000 INR monthly and is based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.
