Role Overview

The clinic is expanding and invites dedicated clinicians committed to ethical, high-quality, and holistic care. This full-time, on-site position involves thorough general practitioner consultations, including detailed medical histories, physical exams, and functional assessments aimed at identifying both acute and chronic condition drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Design personalized treatment plans incorporating conventional medicine, lifestyle adjustments, and complementary therapies.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, participating in case reviews and contributing to practice improvements.
  • Educate patients on preventive health strategies and promote a respectful, inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner without restrictions for integrative clinical practice.
  • Proven experience in general practice, with an interest or background in integrative, functional, or lifestyle medicine.
  • Strong skills in clinical assessment, including history taking, examination, and developing differential diagnoses.
  • Ability to create and manage evidence-based, personalized treatment plans blending conventional and complementary care.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex information and support shared decision-making.
  • Team-oriented approach working with nurses, allied health, and complementary practitioners.
  • Upholds ethical patient-centered care, cultural safety, and non-discriminatory practice principles.
  • Effective organizational skills ensuring precise documentation and follow up.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in integrative and functional medicine through courses or certifications.
  • Proficiency in clinical software, electronic health records, and digital tools supporting patient management.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional credentials or training in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, functional medicine, or related disciplines are considered advantageous.
