Overview

Turtle Insurance Brokers Limited is on the lookout for a knowledgeable IT Specialist to manage and advance its proprietary software system developed on a WAMP stack. This role focuses on guaranteeing the software platform operates smoothly, expanding its features as necessary, and overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure, including network security and inter-device connectivity.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the existing in-house software, focusing on troubleshooting, optimization, and deploying new functionalities aligned with business demands.
• Operate and manage the WAMP environment which incorporates Windows, Apache, MySQL, and PHP technologies.
• Administer backend database management using MySQL and PHPMyAdmin tools, ensuring reliability and security.
• Boost system performance, security, and user experience for both internal users and clients.
• Identify software defects, implement fixes promptly, and maintain uninterrupted software availability.
• Document software updates, system modifications, and related procedures methodically.
• Uphold and enhance company IT infrastructure including computers, servers, and connected devices ensuring consistent network connectivity.
• Oversee network security aspects such as access control, backups, shared folders, and protective measures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently and propose enhancements to bolster IT security and operational efficiency.
• Provide training to staff members on company software usage, fostering best IT practices and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Develop user manuals and documentation for end users.
• Supportively assist the company's digital transformation goals, including aiding digital marketing platforms and recommending technological improvements.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap 4.
• Strong backend development experience with PHP, MySQL, and PHPMyAdmin.
• Skilled in using CorelDRAW or a comparable design tool for creating company materials.
• Experience with WAMP server environments.
• Good understanding of database design and network/cybersecurity principles.
• Capable of independently resolving software/hardware issues and performing problem analysis.
• Effective communication skills geared toward training non-technical personnel.
