Role Overview
We seek an experienced professional specialized in contract oversight, commercial governance, and shutdown or project environments. This role demands a proactive individual to spearhead contractual responsibilities and ensure the seamless delivery of projects in a high-paced industrial context.
Job Location and Division
Position is based in Abu Dhabi, under the ISD division within the UAE.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Applicants must currently reside within the GCC nations.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; possessing a Master’s degree is advantageous.
- Certification such as PMP or RICS/MRICS credentials will be beneficial.
- Required professional experience is over 10 years, ideally acquired in shutdown or industrial project settings across the GCC.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct all contract administrative functions for projects, ensuring they comply with company policies and contractual stipulations.
- Coordinate closely with technical, planning, procurement, quality, and HSE departments to guarantee effective contract execution.
- Detect and manage contract scope changes, prepare and negotiate change orders, variation claims, and extension of time submissions.
- Maintain regular contractual communications with clients to protect company interests and ensure transparency.
- Assist Project Managers in commercial decision processes, including cost oversight and risk reduction methods.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all contractual agreements among project participants.
- Analyze project schedules for delays caused by manpower, material, or equipment issues and support claim rationales.
- Compile comprehensive progress reports, maintain claims registers, manage risk and opportunity logs, and lead final account closures.
