Job description
About the Role
This position requires overseeing the entire human capital lifecycle, from securing approvals for new positions through to exit processes and deriving insights from departures. The ideal candidate values systems, evidence-based practices, and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes aiming for a maximum thirty-day time-to-fill metric.
- Maintain an active pool of at least two qualified candidates for each open role.
- Ensure seamless onboarding by preparing all necessary tools, access permissions, documentation, and assigning a buddy before the new hire's first day.
- Organize and conduct weekly probation reviews and scheduled appraisals, ensuring they are evidence-based and timely.
- Collect and observe the culture survey results conducted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; provide candid feedback to the CEO, including unfavorable outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive employee records encompassing contracts, agreements, integrity logs, training, and performance data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Monitor retention rates and treat each employee departure as an opportunity for organizational learning.
Requirements
- Four to seven years of experience in human resources, with a minimum of two years managing full recruitment cycles independently.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian labor regulations, including employment contracts and statutory obligations such as PAYE, pension schemes, NSITF, ITF, and group life insurance.
- Experience recruiting across diverse roles including operational, professional, and senior positions.
- Strong organizational skills with a proficiency in managing documentation and data using tools like spreadsheets.
- Membership in a professional HR body like CIPM is advantageous but not mandatory, as competencies will be assessed directly.
