Human Resources Director

Overview

We are collaborating with a thriving, specialized manufacturing firm to recruit a Human Resources Director to spearhead the workforce agenda at a prominent Irish site located in Portlaoise. This key strategic leadership position involves partnering closely with the Site General Manager and senior leaders to influence culture, enhance engagement, and develop leadership capabilities as the site expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership to cultivate a culture of high performance.
• Design and implement culture and engagement initiatives, including conducting surveys and formulating action plans.
• Provide leadership development and coaching for managerial staff.
• Manage employee relations, addressing complex issues with fairness and consistency.
• Facilitate change management efforts in line with global organizational programs.
• Serve as the strategic People & Culture lead on-site, overseeing daily HR operations through a direct report.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated background in strategic HR or People & Culture leadership within manufacturing or operational sectors.
• Proven success in cultural transformation, employee engagement, and leadership growth initiatives.
• Skilled in handling employee relations and influencing senior leadership effectively.
• Capable of providing candid advice and challenging senior stakeholders with authority and professionalism.
• Experienced in managing change within multinational contexts.
• Self-driven with strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Additional Information

Location: Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland

Salary Range: €100,000 - €115,000, dependent on experience.
