Job Overview
The HR Shared Services Tier 1 role functions as the initial contact point for employee inquiries and support. This position is responsible for providing requested information or taking suitable measures to resolve or escalate issues, aligning with company policies and procedures. In addition, the role assists with other transactional departmental tasks, all in compliance with MGM Resorts International operations standards.
Daily Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee, manager, retiree, and family inquiries via phone, email, and chat concerning HR-related questions, concerns, issues, and status updates.
- Handle case resolutions with sensitivity and a customer-oriented approach, following established company policies and procedures.
- Escalate more complex issues to HR Shared Services management or Tier II specialists, providing comprehensive documentation on prior actions taken.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to procure or deliver necessary information for case closure if not escalated.
- Direct employees, managers, retirees, and families to HR self-service tools, third-party vendors, or alternate resources as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service roles, inbound call centers, or a related field.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $18.00 per hour.
