Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all human resources operations within the studio located in Lekki. This on-site, full-time role involves directing recruitment efforts, onboarding processes, performance evaluations, and employee relations. The HR Manager will develop and enforce HR policies, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and aid leadership in workforce planning and organizational development initiatives. Key duties also include managing payroll inputs, administering employee benefits, tracking leaves, and maintaining HR documentation. The role emphasizes cultivating a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment process, conduct interviews, and facilitate employee onboarding.
- Manage performance appraisals and support employee relations to maintain a healthy work environment.
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with organizational goals and legal standards.
- Administer payroll systems, coordinate benefits, and maintain accurate leave and attendance records.
- Maintain comprehensive HR documentation and utilize HR information systems effectively.
- Coordinate staff training and development programs to enhance skills and engagement.
- Address employee grievances and provide conflict resolution support.
- Advise management on best practices related to talent retention and workforce engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience in essential HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- In-depth knowledge of local employment laws, labor regulations, and HR compliance relevant to Lekki and the surrounding region.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills to effectively support both staff and leadership.
- Competency in HR administrative tasks such as payroll coordination, benefits management, recordkeeping, and using HRIS tools.
- Capability to design and execute HR policies, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives that contribute to organizational development.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related disciplines; professional HR certification is beneficial.
- Experience in an HR Manager or senior HR role, ideally within creative, service-oriented, or small business settings.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and skill in managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
