Healthcare Attendant - Activity

Role Overview

The Healthcare Attendant - Activity is responsible for supporting residents through physical exercises, social activities, and personal care to enhance their well-being and quality of life.

Primary Duties (80%)

• Assist residents with physical exercises and activities designed to promote mobility and health.
• Help with transferring residents safely between locations or positions.
• Support residents during meal times ensuring comfort and nutrition.
• Provide personalized one-on-one interaction to engage and support residents.
• Plan and coordinate social activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.
• Collaborate with community partners and volunteers to facilitate social events.
• Observe resident conditions carefully and report any relevant changes to appropriate healthcare staff.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by Staff Nurses and Allied Health or Care Professionals.

Secondary Duties (20%)

• Participate actively in clinical service projects contributing to healthcare delivery improvements.
• Engage in infection control initiatives supporting public health efforts.
