Role overview

Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network is seeking a permanent full-time Handyperson to join the Engineering and Maintenance Services team at Westmead. This role contributes to the safe, efficient operation of hospital facilities by carrying out general maintenance tasks across buildings, services, and grounds.

The network supports children and young people across Australia’s largest paediatric health service, with a strong focus on compassion, teamwork, and high-quality care. The maintenance team helps ensure hospital assets are managed in line with government policy, asset management requirements, and operational standards.

Key duties

You will assist with general repair and maintenance work that does not require a licence, including routine tasks to keep the facility functioning safely and effectively.

  • Clear and clean blocked drains.
