About the Role
Jovie is seeking passionate and experienced caregivers to provide dedicated in-home care for infants and toddlers with families in Bothell, WA, and surrounding Seattle areas. This position offers both full-time and part-time options, focusing on rewarding daytime hours along with career development supported by a compassionate leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive and safe caregiving for infants and toddlers.
- Assist with feeding schedules, nap routines, and other daily caregiving tasks.
- Promote developmental growth through reading, play, and age-appropriate engagements.
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding their child's experiences.
- Create an encouraging, positive learning environment for children.
Typical Work Schedule
- Availability Monday through Friday is preferred.
- Shifts generally run between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Shift length usually ranges from 6 to 9 hours.
- Candidates will be placed with thoroughly vetted local families.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience caring for infants, gained through nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or similar childcare environments.
- Strong affection for working with young children.
- Dependability and professionalism in work conduct.
- Effective communication skills with both children and parents.
- Possession of reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Provide at least two professional childcare references and one character reference.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Additional Information
Job assignments may vary; you could be matched with one or multiple families depending on availability and family needs. While most caregiving will be for infants and toddlers, occasional opportunities to care for older children may arise. The hiring process involves application review, interview scheduling, screening, reference checks, followed by orientation and training on Jovie's caregiving approach. Pay is issued bi-weekly.
