Role overview
This contract role is for a Frontend Web Developer focused on HTML and CSS. The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere. You will be part of a project for a client in the technology, information, and internet space, contributing to the creation of scalable, user-friendly web experiences for a high-traffic platform.
Compensation
The payout for this assignment is $30 to $80 per hour.
What you will do
- Build and update front-end UI components with HTML, CSS, and closely related technologies.
- Design layouts that work smoothly across different browsers and screen sizes.
- Work alongside designers to turn mockups into accurate, production-ready interfaces.
- Improve page performance and make sure accessibility practices are followed.
- Take part in code reviews and help uphold front-end development standards.
What we are looking for
- Strong command of HTML and CSS, including semantic markup.
- Hands-on experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches.
- Exposure to CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS, or frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind.
- Comfort using browser developer tools and debugging front-end issues.
- Ability to translate design files from Figma, Sketch, or similar tools into working interfaces.
