Foodservice Worker

Overview

Join our team as a Foodservice Worker and contribute meaningful service in a school cafeteria setting. This full-time position involves assisting with meal preparation and serving students and staff in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Key Duties

• Prepare and serve meals in line with recipes, production records, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of kitchen and service areas.
• Stock serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers efficiently.
• Apply proper food storage, rotation, and sanitation protocols.
• Provide courteous meal service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Help organize inventory and put away deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Follow health regulations at local, state, federal, and company levels.
• Support team members by assisting or covering shifts as necessary.
• Complete assigned reports promptly and other duties to support kitchen operations and school meal programs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or cleaning is preferred.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic and cooperates well with others.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and following routines.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Must pass background and fingerprint checks.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Enjoys working with children and engaging with the school community.
• Maintains respectful, inclusive, and professional behavior with coworkers and customers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to stand throughout entire shifts and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, reaching, walking, and manual dexterity required.
• Work is performed in moderately noisy, fast-paced kitchen settings.
• Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, with some extended weeks possible.
• Participation in company meetings or events may be required.
