Role Summary

The Food Server will be the main point of contact for guests on the dining floor, ensuring each visit is smooth, courteous, and enjoyable. The role involves greeting customers, sharing menu information, taking and delivering orders accurately, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining restaurant service standards. The server will also support billing, table monitoring, and the cleanliness and order of the dining area.

Key Duties

• Welcome guests professionally and guide them through the dining experience.
• Present menus, explain dishes, and respond clearly to questions about food and beverages.
• Record orders accurately and ensure they are delivered promptly.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to support efficient service flow.
• Serve food and drinks according to restaurant etiquette and quality standards.
• Keep an eye on tables and address guest requests without delay.
• Assist with billing and help maintain smooth front-of-house operations.
• Support cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the dining area.

Qualifications

This position suits someone with strong guest-handling skills, clear communication, and a good grasp of food and beverage service basics. Familiarity with serving etiquette, hygiene standards, and simple cooking knowledge will help in explaining menu items and ingredients accurately. Experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, and knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an added advantage. The role also calls for dependability, punctuality, adherence to company grooming and policy standards, and the ability to remain attentive and positive in a busy environment.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, on-site role in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The schedule requires flexibility, including availability during evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods and carry trays safely. Fluency in English is required, while Arabic is considered an advantage.
