Key Responsibilities

• Design and enforce detailed fire safety and emergency response protocols specific to the power plant environment.
• Perform routine fire hazard assessments and conduct thorough safety inspections to discover potential risks.
• Guarantee full compliance with applicable fire safety legislation, standards, and codes.
• Organize and lead fire drills, training workshops, and mock exercises to train staff on proper emergency response.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of fire detection systems, suppression equipment, and related resources.
• Collaborate with outside emergency responders and agencies to improve overall emergency preparedness and response.
• Conduct thorough investigations of fire events, determine underlying causes, and apply remedial measures to prevent recurrence.
• Create comprehensive reports and maintain documentation pertaining to fire safety activities and regulatory compliance.
• Keep abreast of latest trends, innovations, and best practices in fire protection technology and methodology.

Qualifications

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Fire Engineering, or an associated discipline.
