Role Summary

The Financial Controller will be based in Jiddah in an on-site, full-time capacity and will take ownership of the organization’s finance function. The position supports business decisions by handling budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and day-to-day accounting oversight. It also involves monitoring cash movement, ensuring ledger accuracy, maintaining controls, and working closely with leadership and project teams to assess event profitability and improve financial performance.

Core Duties

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support planning and decision-making.
• Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and other management reports.
• Track cash flow and ensure the smooth handling of accounts payable and receivable.
• Keep general ledger records accurate and up to date.
• Strengthen internal control systems and support audit processes when required.
• Ensure accounting work aligns with applicable standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Work with senior leaders and project teams to review event margins, control costs, and improve profitability.

Required Qualifications

• Solid background in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance review.
• Ability to produce and interpret financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Experience setting up and maintaining internal controls and supporting internal and external audits.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and routine accounting transactions.
• Strong command of accounting systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Good organization, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and time management.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and senior teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Experience in events, hospitality, or another project-driven business is considered an advantage.
• Must be able to work on-site in Jiddah and handle a fast-moving, deadline-focused environment.
