Job Overview
Airtel Payments Bank is looking to hire motivated and target-oriented Field Sales Executives to expand its merchant network in Chennai and nearby areas. This role focuses on acquiring merchants, promoting digital payment solutions including QR Codes and Soundbox devices, and facilitating merchant onboarding and activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with retail outlets and business establishments within the allocated territory.
- Effectively acquire new merchants and assist with onboarding on Airtel Payments Bank platforms.
- Demonstrate and install QR Code and Soundbox payment technologies to merchants.
- Explain product benefits and features clearly to potential clients.
- Complete necessary merchant KYC and documentation to enable activation.
- Maintain ongoing productive relationships with merchants to ensure business growth.
- Meet and strive to exceed daily and monthly sales objectives.
- Provide daily reports on sales activities and progress to supervising Team Leaders.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education qualification of 12th grade pass or any graduate degree.
- Freshers are welcome; however, candidates with experience in merchant onboarding, field sales, BFSI, fintech, telecom, or payments are preferred.
- Preference given to those with a background in platforms like Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, BharatPe, MobiKwik, Airtel Payments Bank, or related merchant acquisition roles.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Must own a two-wheeler vehicle with a valid driving license and be ready to travel extensively within the designated area.
Compensation and Benefits
- Monthly total compensation ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 based on experience.
- Take-home salary potentially up to ₹22,000 per month.
- Attractive performance incentives of around ₹20,000.
- Petrol allowance available as per company policies.
