F&B Service Expert

Overview

The role of the F&B Service Expert transcends merely serving food at tables until the bill is requested. The goal is to craft an exceptional and unforgettable experience beyond the food and drink itself. Service Experts proactively provide a range of guest services to ensure a memorable occasion. Activities include setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting and serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness of work and storage areas. The seamless integration of these tasks into the guest experience is crucial.

Key Responsibilities and Work Environment

Success in this position entails maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and presenting a professional uniform, appearance, and communication style. Service Experts are constantly active—standing, sitting, walking extended periods over uneven or sometimes slippery surfaces, reviewing and verifying menu details, and performing diverse physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and placing objects under 50 pounds without assistance. Tasks also involve reaching high places, bending, twisting, stretching, and stooping. Consistent excellence in carrying out these and any other reasonable assignments is essential for guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Relevant Work Experience: Less than one year preferred but not mandatory.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
