Facilities Operations Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facilities equipment and systems safely and effectively.
• Use FMCS or similar control systems to monitor facility operations continuously.
• Promptly identify and respond to deviations or abnormal conditions impacting production or the overall site.
• Communicate issues or out-of-spec cases swiftly to relevant stakeholders.
• Restore facility services quickly to reduce downtime.
• Handle facility service requests as they arise.
• Support and follow established operating procedures and perform risk assessments related to facility systems and tasks.
• Coordinate maintenance and installation for facility systems and equipment.
• Ensure accurate information transfer during shift handovers.
• Complete daily shift activities and routines reliably.
• Help prepare SOPs, checklists, and daily reports for the plant.
• Investigate and follow up on incidents or service interruptions diligently.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external teams on facility operations.
• Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
• Participate as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member.
• Co-lead daily morning operations meetings with the Facilities Operations Engineer.
• Conduct Water Activated Carbon (WAC) regeneration and Air Conditioning Filter (ACF) backwash.
• Complete required training and learning modules on time.
• Review and authorize work permits as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering disciplines such as Electronic/Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Instrumentation, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven with good prioritization abilities.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Previous experience in facilities operations is a plus.
• Availability to work any shifts on a rotating basis.
