Job Overview

The role is centered around operating and setting Crosshead Extrusion machines to support the growth of the Flexicon product range within the Unistrut division.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and follow instructions from the Team Leader on assigned tasks.
• Operate and set up Crosshead Extrusion equipment efficiently.
• Maintain and clean tools regularly to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing components and materials to maintain quality standards.
• Accurately maintain production and quality documentation.
• Ensure the work area adheres to 5S workplace organization standards.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives in all work aspects.
• Strictly follow Health & Safety protocols at all times.
• Carry out additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in extrusion machinery, excluding plastic or blown-film extrusion.
• Sound understanding of setting up and running extrusion corrugation machines.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team environment.
• Highly motivated to meet safety targets and quality expectations.
• Ability to embrace and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC core values.

Performance Goals

• Zero harm and accidents to oneself and colleagues.
• No acceptance of defective raw materials on site.
• Timely unloading of raw materials.
• Eliminate machine downtime caused by waiting for materials.

Working Hours

The position involves a 48-hour workweek on a shift pattern from Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 7 pm.
