About the Role

Macy’s is seeking an External Communications Coordinator to support the company’s external communications function. This role partners with senior communications leaders to deliver brand storytelling, media outreach, and reporting that reinforce business priorities, leadership visibility, and the company’s broader brand and corporate message.

What You’ll Handle

  • Assist with brand and corporate communication efforts tied to campaigns, collaborations, product launches, events, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Prepare and polish press releases, executive remarks, key messages, briefing notes, media lists, and FAQs.

  • Track and analyze media coverage related to brand and corporate announcements, then compile monitoring reports and project or quarterly summaries.
  • Help produce and circulate the daily enterprise media report for senior leadership across Macy’s, Inc.
  • Provide on-site support for major brand and signature events, including Macy’s Flower Show, Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Black Friday; this requires availability during nights, mornings, weekends, and national holidays.
