About Hope Initiative Alliance and Hope Village
Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) is a registered charity in Singapore with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. It is dedicated to enhancing the lives of marginalized groups, including citizens, residents, and migrant workers. Hope Village, located at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre, is a community space run by HIA that offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for migrant workers and migrant domestic workers to relax, socialize, and take part in meaningful programmes during their leisure time. As a prominent migrant worker recreation centre in Singapore, Hope Village combines community outreach, volunteer involvement, partnerships, and programmes to promote the well-being, social connectedness, and dignity of migrant workers through diverse events and collaborations.
Role Summary
The Executive (Engagement) at Hope Village supports the effective delivery of community engagement initiatives by managing partnerships, volunteer relationships, outreach efforts, membership engagement, and event programming. This position is essential in ensuring that engagement activities are well coordinated, inclusive, and aligned with community needs, thereby fostering positive experiences for migrant workers and migrant domestic workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute engagement plans through collaboration with internal teams and external partners to organize and manage activities on site.
- Build and maintain partnerships to enhance community outreach and programme effectiveness.
- Coordinate volunteer relations to support various events and initiatives.
- Facilitate membership engagement and involvement in community programmes.
- Support outreach efforts to connect with the migrant worker community in alignment with Hope Village’s mission.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or degree in fields such as communications, social services, event management, or related disciplines.
- Interest or prior experience in community engagement or social service sectors.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, and occasional evenings to support events.
