Position Overview

The Executive Director of Project Operations will lead the company’s project operations management framework. This position is accountable for coordinating project execution, allocating resources effectively, and safeguarding delivery quality. The role focuses on improving operating workflows, strengthening execution speed, and promoting collaboration across departments so that important projects are delivered on time, to standard, and in line with strategic business goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine project operations strategies, execution standards, and management mechanisms.
• Build and improve end-to-end project management processes covering planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Promote standardized and digitally enabled project operations practices.
• Plan and coordinate execution timelines for critical projects.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Resolve major implementation issues and keep project delivery on track.
• Develop and maintain a project operations KPI/OKR framework.
• Review project performance data and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership based on execution outcomes.
• Coordinate resources across business, product, technology, finance, and supply chain functions.
• Support effective collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
• Prioritize work and allocate resources to reduce execution bottlenecks.
• Create systems for identifying project risks early and responding proactively.
• Track risks, issues, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project reviews and document lessons learned for future improvement.
• Guide and develop the project operations team.
• Build talent pipelines for project managers and operations professionals.
• Set performance review and development frameworks for the team.
• Strengthen the organization’s overall project execution capability.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or above is required.
• Preferred study areas include Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• More than 20 years of experience in project management, project operations, or business operations is expected.
• At least 8–15+ years of experience leading project teams is required.
• Proven experience handling large project portfolios or delivering highly complex projects is important.
• Knowledge of project management approaches such as PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2 is preferred.
• Strong planning, risk management, and resource coordination abilities are needed.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to drive execution are essential.
