Job description
Role Overview and Experience Requirements
We seek a seasoned Estimation Manager with extensive expertise managing high-value and complex construction projects internationally, particularly within the GCC region. Ideal candidates will have a proven history of overseeing projects valued at no less than USD 200 million across diverse sectors such as airports, railways, bridges, data centers, luxury five-star hotels and residences, towering commercial high-rises exceeding 50 stories, ports, and military facilities.
The candidate should bring demonstrated success working with top-tier international construction firms in the Middle East and global markets, confidently handling large-scale, multifaceted, high-budget projects.
Educational Background
A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university in the United States or United Kingdom is required.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute coding of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) using CCS software and perform precise quantity take-offs.
- Prepare comprehensive BOQs and customize Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, which include specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Collaborate thoroughly with the contracts department to confirm alignment with fixed-price lump sum and escalation clauses.
- Manage and be accountable for combined technical and commercial evaluation tables.
- Conduct meetings with subcontractors to verify compliance with methods, sequencing, scheduling, scopes of work, specifications, contractual obligations, and correctly priced plant and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate work areas including laydown and yard allocations in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Maintain detailed ownership over technical, contractual, legal, and commercial performance ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Ensure adherence to tender schedules and optimize tender team productivity and retention.
- Develop and implement effective bid-winning strategies and present weekly tender progress reports to the Board of Directors.
- Participate in final tender evaluation meetings and committees, striving to meet key performance indicators such as cost per square meter, unit rates, and maximizing winning margins.
- Accurately compile all tender information, including notes on direct and indirect costs, risks, overhead, profit, escalation, finance, and taxation.
- Manage the packaging and submission of tenders both online and in physical form to clients.
